As in all Christian traditions, the gateway to membership in Trinity Church is baptism. Baptism has long been understood as the rite of entry into God's family. It represents the beginning point of our life as disciples, and we believe that it nurtures and sustains us in our pilgrimage as we seek to grow closer to God.

Our church respects both the baptism of infant children and the baptism of older children and adults (sometimes called believer's baptism) as appropriate interpretations of Jesus' call to our life in him.
While we encourage families to baptize their infant children, we respect the wishes of those who prefer to wait until their children are older and have a better understanding of what is taking place. While we understand that baptism is the entryway into the church and we welcome anyone who wants to be part of our church family every Sunday, we affirm those who wish to join Trinity in a more formal way with the service of confirmation. Once a year, we invite our bishop to attend a worship service and welcome new members with a formal affirmation and blessing.
For questions about baptism and confirmation, please contact one of our clergy persons. Contact Us.
We encourage everyone (whether "officially" members of Trinity or not) to become involved in the life and fellowship of our church. See Opportunities to Serve for the various programs and opportunities at Trinity Church.
